Custom Wrestling Singlets

Folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman uniforms built for every weight class, cut and stitched in the USA since 2011.

Made in the USA 3-Week Delivery No Minimum Order

Singlets that stretch out at the leg holes by January, sublimation that fades after eight wash cycles, transparency complaints under the LED rigs at sectionals. If you have coached wrestling for more than two seasons, you have lived through every one of those vendor failures. Our custom wrestling singlets are built for the grind of an actual 22-dual schedule, not the shelf life of a catalog photo.

The fabric is 92 percent polyester and 8 percent spandex with flatlock seam construction at the shoulder, leg opening, and inseam stress points. The compression fit stays locked through scrambles, sprawls, and takedown drills without bagging at the hip or riding up at the chest. Opacity holds at full stretch under arena lights, which solves the transparency complaint that follows cheap singlets across every program.

Every design is fully sublimated. Team colors, school name, and athlete numbers dye into the fiber instead of pressing onto the surface, so nothing peels, cracks, or fades through a full season of post-practice washes. Each order runs in one production batch, so singlet number 1 matches singlet number 30 in shade, fit, and finish. No mismatched red coming out of the team bag at the state finals.

From 8U Bantam through Masters division, sizing runs YXS through Adult 4XL. Folkstyle, freestyle, Greco-Roman, women's two-piece, and NFHS-approved cuts are all available on the same flat pricing. Every program order is digitally proofed before production starts, with unlimited revisions and a 12-hour mockup turnaround. From the mat to the medal stand, Hamco Sports Inc. ships every custom uniform USA-made with free shipping and no minimum order.

Our Wrestling Singlet Quality Guarantee

Every custom wrestling singlet, fight short, and warmup we ship is backed by a written commitment to your program:

Pre-ship inspection: Every singlet, compression short, fight short, and warmup jacket is individually checked for flatlock seam integrity, sublimation accuracy, and roster-sheet sizing before it leaves Hamco.

Design-match guarantee: If any piece ships off-color, with wrong logo placement, or with a misnumbered singlet from your approved digital proof, we re-cut and re-ship at no cost.

Defect replacement: Blown seams, sublimation misprints, or fabric flaws caught within 14 days of delivery get a free replacement with no return runaround.

Transparency guarantee: Every singlet uses opaque competition-weight 92/8 poly-spandex that holds opacity at full stretch under LED arena lighting. If a singlet shows through during a wrestler's first weigh-in to whistle, we replace it.

Same-dye-batch consistency: Every piece in your order runs in one production pass, so singlet #1 matches singlet #30 in dye-shade, fit, and finish. No mismatched red coming out of the team bag at sectionals.

Why Hamco Wrestling Singlets Mean Quality

A Pennsylvania varsity room runs live-go for ninety minutes on a Tuesday night in January. Fourteen kids in pairs, scrambling for the bottom position, sprawling out of doubles, drilling cradles. Friday night is a dual against the next district over. Saturday morning is a four-team round-robin at the high school across town. By Sunday the same singlet has run through six dual matches and three practice sessions, two wash cycles, and a humid bus ride home. Cheap singlets are at the laundry basket by mid-January.

Hamco builds for that month. Our 92/8 poly-spandex singlet runs 220 to 240 GSM with flatlock seam construction at the shoulder, leg opening, and inseam. The fabric stays opaque at full stretch when a wrestler hits a Granby roll, when she stands up out of a referee's position, when he sprawls into a head outside single. The compression fit does not bag at the hip after the third match of the day. Sublimation does not fade against the white singlets across the bracket because the dye is fused into the polyester fiber, not pressed onto the surface.

Every cut on the line is patterned for actual wrestling bodies, not generic resized templates. The shoulder yoke clears clinched arms. The leg opening sits high enough to prevent grip-by-fabric on a takedown defense. Women's two-piece options exist with proper proportions, not a unisex singlet sized down. Heavyweight builds get room in the chest without pull at the side seam. Bantam-weight kids get a narrow chest without bagging at the leg.

Care Instructions for Wrestling Uniforms

Wrestling gear absorbs sweat, mat sanitizer, blood, headgear ear chafe, and the residue of every weight cut from October to March. Cotton-blend rinses out gently. The 92/8 poly-spandex on a Hamco singlet handles tougher chemistry, but smart laundry habits double how long the gear stays sharp:

  • Mat sanitizer and chlorhexidine residue: Many mat-cleaning solutions oxidize cotton over time. Polyester sublimation handles weekly mat-cleaner exposure for a full season, but rinse the singlet inside a sink with cold water within two hours of the workout if it absorbed a heavy spill from a leaky bottle.
  • Blood stains from mat burn or nose bleeds: Cold water rinse within 24 hours, never hot water (hot sets the iron in blood permanently into polyester). Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton swab lifts old blood without bleaching the sublimation underneath.
  • Headgear ear-chafe sweat: The shoulder yoke of the singlet collects the sweat that wicks down the headgear strap. Pre-treat the upper shoulder zone before every wash. A thirty-second cold-water spot rinse breaks up the salt residue that hot dryer cycles otherwise bake into the fabric.
  • Weight-cut sauna-suit interactions: Wrestlers cutting hard through sauna suits sometimes wear the singlet underneath the plastic. The trapped heat is not gentle on stretch fibers. After a heavy cut session, give the singlet a cold rinse and lay flat to dry before machine washing.
  • Wash cycle: Cold water, inside out, mild detergent, gentle cycle. No bleach, no fabric softener, no dryer sheets. Fabric softener coats the moisture-wicking fibers and kills the wicking.
  • Drying: Hang dry or tumble on low. Hot dryer cycles shrink the leg opening over time and shorten the elastic-waistband life on warmup pants by months.
  • Storage between tournaments: Fully dry before bagging. A damp singlet sealed in a gear bag for two days grows mildew that no wash fully recovers.

Sublimated dye is locked into the fiber, not sitting on the surface like screen print. Numbers, school names, and sponsor patches survive a 22-dual schedule plus tournaments without peeling, cracking, or fading. The same care guidelines apply to your sideline warmup jackets, full-zip hoodies, jogger pants, and travel duffles to keep the full team look consistent from October practices through state finals in February or March.

Wrestling Competition Level Matcher

Hamco outfits programs at every level of the folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman ladder. Pick your tier and we already know the league-rule constraints and timeline pressure that comes with it:

  • 8U & 10U Bantam (USAW): Youth-cut singlets, soft-finish leg openings for sensitive skin, two-color sublimation, oversized numbering for parent visibility from the bleachers.
  • 12U Schoolboy (USAW Folkstyle): Roster-sheet sizing across YXS through YL, league-required color contrast on numbering, no profanity or commercial logos restriction during qualifiers.
  • 14U Cadet (USAW Folkstyle & Freestyle): Premium 220 GSM singlets, matching warmup jackets and warmup pants for the Cadet Duals circuit, dye-batch coordination across age divisions in one order.
  • 16U & 18U Junior (USAW + NHSCA): Travel-tournament durability, dual-color reversible options where rules permit, matching team windbreakers for the Folkstyle Nationals and Cadet/Junior National tournaments at Cedar Falls.
  • High School Varsity (NFHS-sanctioned): NFHS Rule 4 compliance, contrasting red and green singlet sets for dual-meet referee distinction, school-mascot embroidery on dugout jackets, athletic-department billing terms available.
  • NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, NJCAA: Full coordinated sets across home and away singlets, conference-mandated sponsor-patch placement, post-season rush production for Big Tens, Big 12, EIWA, ACC, and the NCAA Championships in March.
  • UWW International (Freestyle & Greco-Roman): Full international cut, UWW-compliant color contrast, four-color sublimation art for senior-level world team training camps.
  • Senior Open, Veterans, Masters (35+, 40+, 50+, 60+ divisions): Adult-comfort fits, generous arm and torso room over compression sleeves and braces, two-piece options for masters wrestlers who prefer separates.
  • Women's Folkstyle & Freestyle (USAW + NCWWC): Two-piece option with women's-specific cut top and bottom, NCAA-compliant for the growing list of varsity women's programs across NCAA Division II and NAIA.

One order, one production run, no MOQ, free 12-hour mockup turnaround. From the 8U Bantam beginner in Iowa to the NCAA Division I 197-pounder in Stillwater, the same Hamco line covers it.

Wrestling Programs We Outfit

Wrestling has a denser governing-body and sanctioning-organization map than any other team sport. The rules a singlet must comply with change between folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman, and between high school, college, and international. Hamco has shipped to programs under every one of these:

  • USA Wrestling — the national governing body recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman age-group programs run through USAW state associations. See the official rulebook at themat.com.
  • NFHS — high school wrestling rule authority across all fifty states. NFHS Rule 4 covers wrestler equipment, including singlet length, color contrast, and prohibited markings. Full rule resource at nfhs.org wrestling rules.
  • NCAA wrestling — Division I, II, III, NAIA, NJCAA. Conference-specific singlet color and sponsor rules apply per program. EIWA, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, MAC, Pac-12, and the upstart Big 12 wrestling alignment all carry their own sub-rules.
  • UWW (United World Wrestling) — international freestyle and Greco-Roman governing body. Olympic-level singlet specifications, referee-color contrast, mandatory blood-replacement uniform sets.
  • USAW Folkstyle Nationals & USAW Freestyle / Greco-Roman Cadet & Junior Nationals — the two biggest yearly age-group tournaments, run through Cedar Falls (Iowa) for senior-level and Fargo (North Dakota) for cadet/junior level.
  • NHSCA (National High School Coaches Association) — runs the annual NHSCA Nationals every March/April. Open-bracket competition for HS wrestlers across all four classes.
  • NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) — coach-side organization representing NCAA, NJCAA, and HS programs. Coaches' polos and sideline gear ship to NWCA Convention attendees every September.
  • MAWA (Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Association) — regional youth circuit covering Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Virginia.
  • Cliff Keen Invitational — the premier December high school invitational tournament hosted at Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor. Schools that qualify need national-level gear quality.
  • Beat the Streets — the New York City and Los Angeles inner-city wrestling outreach programs. Uniform donations and team orders coordinated.

Tell us the sanctioning body your program competes under, and we already know the singlet-color rule, the patch-placement constraint, and the seasonal production timeline that comes with it.

Wrestling Fabric & Performance Specs

Coaches who pay attention to spec sheets ask the right questions. Here is what is actually inside a Hamco wrestling singlet, fight short, and sideline piece:

  • Competition singlet: 220 to 240 GSM 92/8 poly-spandex compression knit. Opaque at full stretch under LED arena lighting (verified opacity test at every QC pass). Flatlock seams at the shoulder, leg opening, and inseam to eliminate raised interior ridges that dig into skin during ground work.
  • Compression short (under singlet): 180 GSM stretch interlock. Inseam fit that does not bunch when worn under the singlet. Same fabric used across the youth bantam and adult heavyweight size run.
  • Practice short & training short: Loose-fit 200 GSM stretch poly, drawstring waist, side seam slits for kicking and pummeling drills. Different cut from the compression short, designed for off-mat conditioning and live-go drilling in practice rooms above 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Fight short (MMA-board style): Reinforced 240 GSM with split side seam and Velcro closure waistband. Stretch panel at the upper thigh for kicking range. Used by clubs that cross-train BJJ and wrestling.
  • Long-sleeve and short-sleeve compression top: 180 GSM poly-spandex, four-way stretch, anti-microbial finish. Worn under the singlet for practice or solo as a base layer for off-mat conditioning.
  • Sideline full-zip warmup jacket and matching pants: 280 GSM 60/40 poly-cotton sublimated body, dye-batch matched to your singlet colors. Worn through team walks-in and bus rides between weigh-in and the dual-meet venue.
  • Pullover hoodie & crewneck: 320 GSM cotton-fleece, sublimated graphics or embroidered chest logo, traditional team-uniform pieces for off-mat school wear.
  • Quarter-zip and lightweight track jacket: 200 GSM stretch interlock, lighter sideline option for the warmer practice rooms and spring freestyle season.
  • Decoration method: Full sublimation on the singlet, compression top, compression short, and fight short. Sublimation plus embroidered chest crest on the cotton-fleece sideline pieces. No screen print on the singlet (it cracks at the leg-opening stretch zone within five wash cycles).

Sublimation locks the dye into the polyester fiber. After 60+ wash cycles a Hamco singlet looks closer to new than a screen-print top would after 12. The shoulder yoke and leg-opening reinforcement are positioned where actual wrestling stress happens, which is why the pattern matters more than the brand label.

Wrestling Customization Options

Every piece we build is fully customizable, from the sublimation art down to the patch placement:

  • Singlet color: Per NFHS Rule 4 and most college-conference rules, dual-meet wrestlers wear one red singlet and one green (or blue/white) singlet for officials' visibility on the mat. Order coordinated red and green sets in one production run so the dye lots match.
  • Number and name placement: School name on the chest, individual wrestler last name above the back of the singlet, sponsor patch on the upper hip or sleeve cap. NFHS Rule 4 caps number height; most college conferences allow larger numbering.
  • One-piece singlet vs two-piece uniform: Traditional one-piece for folkstyle and freestyle. NFHS-approved two-piece (form-fitted compression top + compression short) for HS programs that adopted the alternative uniform option. Women's-specific two-piece for women's folkstyle and freestyle programs.
  • Logo placement: Chest (sublimated full-color art), shoulder yoke (sublimated team mascot), back yoke (sublimated school crest), hip (sublimated sponsor patch). Wrap-around dye-sublimation art across the entire singlet is supported, no per-color upcharge.
  • Sponsor patches: Chest, shoulder, or hip placement, embroidered or sublimated. Free unlimited revisions on the digital mockup.
  • Color matching: Provide a PMS code or a sample swatch and our art team matches it. Same-dye-batch coordination across singlets, warmup jackets, warmup pants, and travel duffles is standard, not an upcharge.
  • Sublimation art: Unlimited colors, gradients, photo-realistic art, and patterns. Sublimation is dye-into-fiber, so complex art does not cost more per piece.
  • Reversible cut (where rules permit): Single-layer 200 GSM reversible singlets with sublimation on both sides. One reversible covers your home/away or scrimmage red-vs-green assignment, cutting roster singlet count from 24 to 12.

If your conference or sanctioning body has a uniform-rule constraint Hamco has not seen, send the rule book and our compliance team confirms compatibility before the mockup goes out.

What Makes Hamco Custom Wrestling Singlets Different

Coaches comparing custom wrestling singlet vendors usually evaluate on three axes. Quality of the actual fabric. Pattern fit across the full weight-class range. And whether the supplier still exists in three seasons.

Hamco has been cutting and stitching custom team uniforms in the USA since 2011. The same Hamco team that built our first singlet for a Pennsylvania youth program in 2012 still builds the singlets shipping out today. No offshore vanishing-act, no rebranding, no resold drop-shipping. The supply chain is a real factory floor.

Every cut on the Hamco wrestling line is patterned for actual wrestling bodies. The shoulder yoke clears clinched arms instead of binding when a wrestler stands up. The leg opening sits high enough to prevent grip-by-fabric escapes by the bottom wrestler. The chest area on heavyweight singlets has the room a 285-pounder needs without pulling at the side seam. The compression fit on the 106-pounder narrow-chest cut does not bag at the hip. Women's two-piece options use proper women's pattern proportions, not a unisex singlet sized down.

Same-dye-batch consistency means singlet #1 in your order matches singlet #30 in the exact dye shade, every time. Most volume printers cannot promise that. Hamco builds it into every order because mismatched red singlets showing up at the dual-meet line is the kind of complaint that costs reorders.

No minimum order. Free digital mockup within 12 hours. Volume pricing tiers at 1-24, 25-50, 51-100, and 101-500+ pieces. Free shipping anywhere in the United States. About a three-week production timeline from approved mockup to delivered singlets. Real US-based phone and email support, not an offshore chatbot.

Hamco outfits programs across every team sport, not just wrestling. If your athletic department also runs baseball, basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, softball, lacrosse, ice hockey, rugby, or flag football, the same Hamco team builds those too, with the same sublimated quality, the same no-MOQ policy, and the same USA-made supply chain.

Sizing, Fit & Athlete Comfort

Find the perfect fit for every wrestler

Wrestling gear doesn't exist in isolation. Athletes wear knee pads, elbow guards, and braces underneath—and a singlet that fits fine on its own can bunch, shift, or restrict movement when layered over protective equipment.

Our singlets and compression shorts are cut to account for that. The fit stays locked in during grappling without riding up or creating bulk around joints. Fabric flexes over pads and braces without losing compression, and snaps back to shape between matches.

No need to size up to accommodate gear. No readjusting between periods. Just a clean fit that works the way your athletes actually wear it. Every style runs youth through adult 3XL.

Wrestling Apparel FAQs

Everything you need to know about our custom uniforms

What's the difference between traditional one-piece singlets and NFHS-approved two-piece uniforms?

A traditional one-piece singlet is the classic wrestling uniform used at every level from 8U Bantam through USA Wrestling Senior internationals and NCAA. The NFHS two-piece option (form-fitted compression top plus compression short) was adopted starting in 2019-20 as an alternative for HS programs that wanted the option. Both use the same 92/8 poly-spandex fabric, the same flatlock seam construction, and the same flat pricing. Pick the format your state HS association and your wrestlers prefer.

Do you offer women's-specific wrestling singlets and two-piece uniforms?

Yes. Women's two-piece options use proper women's pattern proportions — chest area cut, hip-to-waist ratio, and shoulder rotation room patterned for female athletes from the ground up, not a unisex singlet sized down. Women's folkstyle and freestyle programs at NCAA Division II, NAIA, and the growing list of varsity HS women's wrestling state series all get the same flat pricing as men's cuts.

Do your wrestling singlets meet NFHS Rule 4 equipment requirements?

Yes. NFHS Rule 4 requires singlets that cover the body from the upper thigh through the shoulders without raised, abrasive, or rigid hardware. Color contrast is required so officials can distinguish wrestlers in dual meets (typically one wrestler red, one wrestler green). When you specify HS-NFHS as your league during the mockup round, we auto-validate every spec against NFHS Rule 4 and flag anything that would fail referee inspection before production starts. USA Wrestling, NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA rules align closely with NFHS on these specs.

What's your minimum order quantity for custom wrestling singlets?

There is no minimum order. Order a single replacement singlet for an injured wrestler returning to lineup, or scale up through our volume tiers (1-24, 25-50, 51-100, and 101-500+ pieces) for lower per-singlet pricing on a full club program with multiple age divisions. Free US shipping is included on every order, regardless of size.

How long does production take, and is there a rush option for state tournaments?

Standard production is about three weeks from final design approval, with production and free US shipping included. Rush production is available for USAW Folkstyle Nationals, the NHSCA Nationals at Virginia Beach, NCAA conference championships, and state-tournament deadlines. Contact us with your tournament date and we'll confirm an expedited timeline. Tracking is provided once your order ships.

Can I order matching red and green singlet sets plus warmup jackets in the same dye batch?

Yes, and we recommend it for any NFHS-sanctioned HS program. NFHS Rule 4 expects dual-meet wrestlers in contrasting colors (typically red and green) for officials' visibility. Order your red singlets, green singlets, matching warmup jackets, full-zip hoodies, jogger pants, and duffle bags together so the full set runs through one same-dye-batch production pass. The red comes out as the same red on the singlet, the warmup jacket, and the bag. No royal-vs-true-red drift mid-season.
