Custom Football Uniforms & Team Apparel

Sublimated game jerseys, integrated pants, 7-on-7 cuts, and full sideline kits — built in the USA since 2011 for Pop Warner, AYF, NFHS, and NCAA football programs.

Made in the USA 3-Week Delivery No Minimum Order

If your jerseys are tearing at the shoulder pads, numbers are cracking after a few games, or pants are wearing through at the knees before the season is half over, you're not alone--and you shouldn't have to deal with it. Our custom football uniforms are built for full-contact play, made from four-way stretch, moisture-wicking performance fabric with reinforced stitching to handle hard hits, turf abrasion, and full seasons under the lights without losing shape or color.

Every jersey and pant is cut to fit properly over shoulder pads, hip pads, and thigh guards--no bunching, snagging, or readjusting between plays. Sublimated graphics are dyed directly into the fabric, not pressed on top, so your team colors, logos, player names, and numbers stay sharp through collisions, washes, and all-weather conditions. All designs meet NFHS and NCAA compliance standards.

From home, away, and alternate jerseys to compression gear, warm-ups, and sideline apparel--everything your team needs from Friday night lights to Saturday tournaments. Whether you're outfitting a rec league, high school program, or multi-team organization, every order comes with no minimums, bulk discounts, and free digital mockups with unlimited revisions.

What you approve is exactly what ships. No guesswork, no budget headaches. We are a custom team uniform company trusted by hundreds of football programs across the United States — from Pop Warner to NCAA club to small-town Friday-night-lights varsity.

Why HAMCO Custom Football Uniforms Mean Quality

Football is the only American team sport where every single play ends in a collision. A jersey worn under a Pop Warner shoulder pad takes contact 70-80 times a game, then absorbs sweat through a four-hour Saturday morning practice in 95-degree humidity. A high-school varsity pant runs into helmet contact from a defensive end's helmet on every pull-and-trap. The materials, the cut, the seam reinforcement, and the print process all have to match what football actually does to fabric — not generic athletic wear.

Every HAMCO custom football uniform is built for that reality. Our game jersey is 240 GSM heavy mesh with reinforced flatlock stitching at the shoulder-pad seam — the same fabric weight worn at the FCS and NCAA D-II level. Our integrated football pants run 290 GSM with built-in pockets for hip, thigh, knee, and tailbone pads, eliminating the separate girdle a coach's wife used to have to wash before the kid was even out of the car. Sleeve-stripe and chest-letter graphics are fully sublimated — dyed into the fabric — so an inside linebacker's chest-grab on a tackle doesn't peel the print. Compare that to heat-press transfers, which crack at the number's first wash cycle. Our internal wash-fastness testing retains over 95% color saturation through 50 wash cycles. That's a full HS varsity season plus the playoffs.

Care Instructions for Football Uniforms (Grass + Turf + Sweat)

Football uniforms pick up three stain types no other sport gets in the same proportion: grass-and-mud from natural fields (especially early-season two-a-days), black turf-rubber pellets from synthetic fields (those tiny black flecks that get inside the pad pockets), and blood spots from the inevitable cut-lip or bloody nose. Each needs a slightly different pre-wash treatment.

  • Grass stains on white jerseys and pants: Pre-treat with an enzyme-based pre-wash (Shout, Tide Free, or OxiClean) for 20 minutes before the cycle. Avoid bleach — it sets sublimated dye and washes out brand-color saturation in a single load.
  • Turf-rubber pellets: Empty the pad pockets at the bench before practice ends. The pellets will otherwise melt into the fabric in the dryer. Shake pants out before each load and run through a lint roller if you see lingering specks.
  • Blood spots: Treat with cold water and hydrogen peroxide within 24 hours. Never warm water on blood — it sets the protein.
  • Integrated pants washing: Snap-close the pad pockets so the pad-loop fabric doesn't catch on jersey mesh in the same load. Wash inside-out to protect the sublimated graphics on the front of the pant.
  • Helmet decals (separate sale): Never machine-wash a helmet decal — they're vinyl. Wipe with mild soap and water. Don't put decaled helmets in equipment-bag-style steaming sanitizers.

Football Competition Level Matcher — Match the Uniform to How You Play

Not every football team plays the same schedule or wears the same uniform. A 9-year-old Pop Warner Mighty-Mite and a 17-year-old varsity captain have wildly different uniform requirements, even when the jersey looks similar.

Pop Warner / AYF / TYFA Youth (Ages 5–14)

Mighty-Mites (5-7), Junior Mites (8-9), and Junior Pee-Wee (9-11) divisions are weight-class-based and play in lighter pad systems. Youth XS through Youth L covers most rosters. Lower wash count (12-game season + playoffs), fewer practices per week than HS varsity. Our 240 GSM jersey is honestly overkill for this level — but our flat-rate pricing means a Pop Warner program pays the same per-jersey as a high school, so most upgrade.

High School Freshman / JV / Varsity (NFHS)

Hardest use case on the youth-to-college spectrum. A varsity team plays 10-12 regular-season games + playoffs (deep runs go to 15-16 games), runs 4-5 padded practices per week, and the same 50 kids wear the same 50 jerseys all season. NFHS Rule 1 Section 5 governs jersey + number spec: numbers 8" front / 10" back, contrasting color. Linemen wear 50-79, backs and ends use 1-49 and 80-99, single-digits 0-9 also permitted. We auto-validate roster numbers against your specified league during the mockup round.

NCAA (D-I / FBS, D-I / FCS, D-II, D-III, NAIA, NJCAA)

NCAA Rule 1-4 governs jersey requirements. Numbers must be at least 8" tall front and 10" tall back, with the back number visible under the chinstrap from the press box. Three-color sublimated chest graphics are common at the FCS level — HAMCO produces them at no per-color upcharge, which is meaningful for a D-III program operating on a $40K total uniform budget.

Semi-Pro & Adult Club (USFA, AFL, indoor / arena, alumni leagues)

Same construction quality as our HS and NCAA lines, with adult cuts running larger through the shoulder for full-pad clearance. Many semi-pro teams play with reduced pads, which changes the jersey fit profile — specify the pad system you use on the order form and we'll cut accordingly.

7-on-7 Travel & Showcase Football

Different game — no contact, no shoulder pads, no tackling. Our 7-on-7 cut is 200 GSM stretch-mesh in a tighter, fitted profile (think rugby jersey, not full-pad football). Sleeve stripes still sublimated, but no pad-pocket reinforcement at the shoulder. Built for the speed of the modern combine-circuit summer.

Flag Football (5-on-5, 7-on-7 youth, adult co-ed)

See our dedicated Custom Flag Football Uniforms page — the cut is different from full-contact football. No-pocket pant requirement (flag belts need a clean waist), shorter jersey hem to clear the belt, fitted not loose-cut.

Football Programs HAMCO Outfits

HAMCO outfits football teams across every level of organized play in the United States:

  • Pop Warner Little Scholars (national youth organization — Mighty-Mites through Junior Midget divisions)
  • American Youth Football (AYF) + TYFA (Texas Youth Football Association)
  • NFHS-sanctioned high school programs — Class 1A through Class 7A, in all 50 states
  • NCAA D-I FCS, D-II, D-III club & varsity football + NAIA + NJCAA (JuCo)
  • Semi-pro and arena leagues — USFA, NAL, Arena Football League alumni teams
  • USA Football youth development programs and Heads Up Football certified leagues
  • 7-on-7 travel circuits — Pylon 7v7, Battle 7v7, OT7 — high-visibility summer-tournament uniforms
  • USA Football National Team alumni and feeder programs (Olympic flag football starts at LA28)

Head coaches and ADs at every level hit one common wall on the open market: the major brands require 25+ unit minimums and 12-week lead times. HAMCO's flat-rate pricing and three-week production are built around the opposite — single jerseys ship at the same per-unit price as 100, and standard production stays consistent regardless of order size.

Football Uniform Fabric & Performance Specs

Football fabric is a different problem from any other team sport. Heat retention has to be low (kids in pads in 95-degree August). Tear strength has to be high (defensive linemen grabbing fabric to make plays). Pad-pocket abrasion resistance has to last a full season. Color has to survive 50 wash cycles. Our fabric matrix is built per piece:

  • Full-contact game jersey: 240 GSM heavy mesh, 100% polyester. Reinforced flatlock stitching at the shoulder-pad seam. 4-method decoration (sublimation base + tackle-twill for varsity-level Letterman numbering + embroidery for chest crests + screen-print for booster-sponsored chest marks).
  • 7-on-7 lightweight cut: 200 GSM stretch-mesh. Tighter, fitted profile. No pad-pocket reinforcement — drop that since there are no pads. Sub-only decoration usually.
  • Integrated football pant: 290 GSM heavy polyester with built-in pad pockets for hip (2x), thigh (2x), knee (2x), and tailbone (1x). Reinforced flatlock seams at thigh and knee. Drawstring waist + Velcro belt loops. The integrated pant eliminates the separate girdle — saves a parent $25 and a coach a missing-pad incident.
  • Practice jersey (reversible option): 200 GSM lighter mesh. Two-tone for offense/defense scrimmage assignment. 1-method sublimation (heat-press transfers crack on the flipped side).
  • Compression shirt (under-jersey): 92/8 polyester-spandex base layer. Worn directly under the jersey for moisture absorption + cold-game thermal layer. Sublimated-only decoration.
  • Skull cap (under-helmet): 88/12 poly-spandex stretch knit. Absorbs sweat off the forehead before it drips into the eyes. Helps the chinstrap pad stay in place.
  • Varsity jacket: Wool body, leather sleeves, chenille patches, woven name embroidery. The traditional varsity letter award — typically given to seniors who lettered, kept beyond a single season as a keepsake.

Internally we test wash-fastness to 50 cycles minimum. Sublimated jerseys retain >95% saturation. Heat-press-only competitor jerseys typically show visible crack by cycle 12.

Football Uniform Customization Options

Football uniform design decisions affect more than just looks — they affect referee compliance, broadcast film visibility, college-recruiting Hudl footage, and the alumni community's response to a uniform change after a 50-year tradition. Don't fold on the wrong detail.

  • Number compliance (NFHS Rule 1 Sec 5 / NCAA Rule 1-4): 8" front, 10" back, contrasting color. We auto-validate every roster number you submit against the league level you specify.
  • Number positioning (front-chest vs front-shoulder): Front-chest = traditional (10-14 inches below collar). Front-shoulder = modern (NCAA / NFL style). Both NFHS-compliant.
  • Position-grouped numbers: 1-49 = backs and ends (RB / WR / TE). 50-79 = interior line (C / OG / OT). 80-99 = backs and ends. We catch the mismatch (e.g., your LB at #61 if you want him at #54) during mockup.
  • Sleeve striping (traditional vs modern): Single shoulder-stripe = retro 70s look. Double stripe with mid-stripe contrast = 90s NFL. Stripe through armhole = modern college. All sublimated, no per-color upcharge.
  • Chest graphic style: Full city name across chest (Pittsburgh-style). School initials (UCLA-style). Mascot-only (Auburn War Eagle style). Wordmark + chest helmet decal (most HS varsity).
  • Player nameplate placement: Above back number (NFL traditional). Below back number (NCAA traditional). No nameplate (HS budget option, or special-game blackout uniforms).
  • Sponsor patches: Booster-club logo lower-back. Local-business sponsor on the chest. Memorial patches for alumni who passed. We position these without affecting NFHS number-clearance specs.
  • Helmet decals (separate sale): We can match jersey color values for state-stripe, side-decal, and back-decal helmets. Not the same fabric — different production line.

Authoritative guidance on jersey/numbering specs for high school football is published by NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations); for youth football guidance see USA Football.

What Makes HAMCO Custom Football Uniforms Different

At HAMCO, every custom football uniform is built around the specific demands of the sport — full-contact tear strength, pad-pocket reinforcement, NFHS-compliant numbering, dye-batch consistency across home/away/alternate sets. Made-in-USA production. AYF / Pop Warner / NFHS / NCAA-tested at every level.

  • Free Mockups in 12 Hours, Unlimited Revisions: Our design team builds your uniform digitally so you can review every detail before production. Change colors, move the chest letter, swap the sleeve stripe, adjust the pad-pocket arrangement — as many rounds as you need until it's right.
  • No Minimum Order, Tiered Volume Pricing: Need 12 jerseys for a single 7-on-7 team? Done. Need 250 jerseys + 250 integrated pants for a full Pop Warner program with 8 age divisions? Same process. Volume tiers (1-24 / 25-50 / 51-100 / 101-500+) lower the per-item price as your order grows.
  • Same-Dye-Batch Color Consistency: Order home, away, and alternate jerseys together — and their matching pants — and we'll run them in one dye batch. No half-shade variation under Friday-night-lights stadium LED. Matters more in football than any other team sport because home/away match-up means viewers see both kits side-by-side.
  • NFHS / NCAA Compliance Check, Built In: Every roster number is auto-validated during the mockup round against the league level you specify. Catches a 6'4" defensive end at #15 before the referee does at pregame inspection.
  • Made in the USA: Domestic production means shorter lead times (about three weeks), direct quality control, and no overseas shipping delays. Particularly important for late-summer Pop Warner registration deadlines and the homecoming-game alternate uniform rush.
  • Flat-Rate Pricing, No Per-Color Charges: The price you see is the price you pay. Multi-color sublimation costs the same as single-color sublimation. No setup fees, no per-color upcharges on the chrome-on-charcoal alternate jersey, no surprises.

Sizing, Fit & Player Comfort

Find the perfect fit for your team

The right fit determines whether a tackle is a strip or a missed tackle, whether a receiver finishes a reach or has the ball jarred loose. Our custom football jerseys are cut to lay flat over shoulder pads with armhole clearance for the standard YBSA, Adams, or Schutt pad widths used across Pop Warner, AYF, and NFHS programs. Our integrated pants accept hip, thigh, knee, and tailbone pads in the built-in pockets — your kids don't need a separate girdle.

Sizing runs from youth XS through adult 4XL — wide enough to cover a 5'6" cornerback and a 6'5", 320-lb offensive lineman in the same order. For tweener sizes, long-torso linemen, low-armhole skill players, or players who need extra room over external pads, custom sizing is available at no additional charge. Detailed size charts are provided with every order, and our team is available to help you fit your entire roster — from your jet-sweep slot to your nose tackle.

Football Uniform FAQs

Everything you need to know about our custom football uniforms

Are your football jerseys and pants cut to fit over shoulder pads, hip pads, and thigh guards?

Yes. Our 240 GSM heavy-mesh game jerseys are cut with extra armhole clearance to lay flat over standard YBSA, Adams, or Schutt shoulder pad widths. Our integrated football pants accept hip, thigh, knee, and tailbone pads in built-in pad pockets — so your players don't need a separate girdle. Sleeve cuffs taper to keep the jersey from riding up during contact.

Do your jersey numbers meet NFHS Rule 1 Section 5 specifications?

Yes. NFHS Rule 1 Section 5 requires jersey numbers 8 inches minimum on the front and 10 inches minimum on the back, in a color contrasting with the jersey body. When you specify HS-NFHS as your league level, we auto-validate the front and back number sizes during the mockup round so referees won't flag the uniforms during pregame inspection. NCAA cuts use the same minimums or larger.

What's the difference between your full-contact jerseys and your 7-on-7 cuts?

The full-contact game jersey is 240 GSM heavy mesh with reinforced shoulder-pad seams and a longer back tail to stay tucked under pads. The 7-on-7 / flag-style cut is 200 GSM lighter mesh with a tighter fit, no pad-pocket reinforcement, and a shorter hem to clear flag belts. Both are available with the same sublimation, decoration, and flat-rate pricing.

What sizes do you offer for football uniforms?

Youth XS through Adult 4XL — wide enough to fit a 5'6" cornerback and a 6'5", 320-lb offensive lineman in the same order. Custom sizing for tweener-size players, long-torso linemen, or players needing extra pad clearance is available at no additional charge.

What's the minimum order quantity for custom football uniforms?

There's no minimum order. Order one jersey for an individual player, or scale up through our volume tiers (1-24, 25-50, 51-100, 101-500+) for lower per-item pricing on full programs. Free US shipping is included on every order, regardless of size.

How long does production take, and can you handle rush orders for the start of football season?

Standard production is about three weeks from final design approval, with production and shipping included. Rush production is available for Pop Warner registration deadlines, the late-summer two-a-days window, and homecoming-game alternate jerseys — contact us with your deadline and we'll confirm an expedited timeline.

Will the design hold up through a full football season of collisions and washing?

Yes. Every design is fully sublimated — your team colors, logos, names, and numbers are dyed directly into the fabric, not pressed on top. Combined with reinforced flatlock stitching at the shoulder-pad seam and abrasion-resistant 240 GSM jersey fabric, our uniforms withstand tackle-pull contact, turf-rubber pellet wear, and 50+ wash cycles without fading or cracking. Internally tested wash-fastness exceeds 95% color retention through cycle 50.

Can I order matching pants, hoodies, varsity jackets, and accessories in the same dye batch?

Yes — and we recommend it. Order your jerseys, integrated pants, sideline pullovers, full-zip hoodies, varsity jackets, and accessories (gloves, skull caps, duffle bags, team capes) in a single coordinated order. We run them in one dye batch so the brand color reads identically across jersey and pant under Friday-night-lights LED — no half-shade variation between top and bottom.
