When home and away uniforms ship in the same order, both sets run color-locked through the same production batch on the same day, with the same dye lot for solid-color zones. That guarantees the secondary color on your home uniform matches the secondary color on your away uniform exactly. Ordering home and away in separate orders 6 months apart can introduce slight dye-lot variation between sets that's noticeable when both rotations are on the field for media day or yearbook photos. Mixed orders are welcome at no extra cost — you can specify per-player who gets home only, away only, or both, and we'll lay it all out together.

NFHS and NCAA both require visual contrast between the jersey body color and the number color so referees can read player numbers from across the field. The away (visiting) team is conventionally required to wear a light-colored jersey with dark numbers (most often white-body with dark contrast numbers) when the home team is wearing dark. Pant color rules are looser — most leagues allow matching or contrast pants. Referees check at the pre-game uniform inspection: number height (8-inch front, 10-inch back), color contrast pass/fail, and that the jersey/pants combination matches the league's submitted color scheme. We design to spec by default; tell us at design submission if your conference has a specific sub-rule and we'll adjust the mockup before production. We don't certify uniforms ourselves — your AD/coach files the league paperwork — but we build to the published spec.
