Care Instructions for Softball Uniforms

• Infield clay and red dirt stains: Knock loose dirt off in the dugout before tossing into the laundry bag. Pre-treat the stain with cold water and an enzymatic stain remover. Hot water sets red-clay iron into polyester permanently.
• Pitcher's-circle dirt on knickers: The pivot foot drags the same patch of dirt every outing. Pre-treat the toe-drag zone before every wash. Brush gently with a soft-bristle brush before machine washing.
• Grass stains: Outfielder slide marks come out with a 50/50 distilled white vinegar and cold water soak for fifteen minutes, then a normal cold-cycle wash.
• Blood stains from sliding scrapes: Cold water rinse within 24 hours, never hot. Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball lifts old blood without bleaching the sublimation.
• Wash cycle: Turn jerseys and knickers inside out, cold water, mild detergent, gentle cycle. No bleach, no fabric softener, no dryer sheets (the softener coats the moisture-wicking fibers and kills the wicking).
• Drying: Hang dry or tumble on low. Hot dryer cycles bake in any residual dirt and shorten elastic-waistband life by months.
• Storage between tournaments: Fully dry before bagging. A damp uniform sealed in a bat bag for two days grows mildew that no wash recovers.

• Dugout jacket: Insulated polyfill body for cold March doubleheaders. Length covers the hip for catchers gearing up between innings.
• Varsity jacket: Wool body with leather sleeves, chenille letter patches, school name embroidery on the back.
• Decoration method: Full sublimation on poly-dominant pieces (jersey, pant, knicker, tank, windshirt). Embroidery + twill patch on the varsity jacket and dugout jacket. No screen print on game uniforms (it cracks at the slide).

Sublimation locks the dye into the polyester fiber. After 50+ wash cycles a Hamco jersey looks closer to new than a screen-print top would after 10. The pitcher's-circle dirt grinds away at the toe of every knicker, which is why the reinforced toe-drag panel matters more than the brand label.

Softball Customization Options

Every uniform we build is fully customizable from the dye-sublimation art down to the sponsor-patch placement:

• Jersey numbering: Per NFHS Rule 3 Section 1, jersey numbers must be a minimum of 6" on the back and 4" on the front, in a contrasting color to the jersey body. Numbers 1-99 plus 00 are allowed; some leagues prohibit duplicate numbers on the same roster.
• Player names: Most NCAA and NFHS programs allow last-name placement above the back number, capped at 2.5" tall. Some sanctioning bodies (Little League Softball, Bobby Sox 12U) prohibit personalization.
• Jersey cuts: V-neck, racerback (popular at travel-ball and college), round-neck, 2-button henley, full-button traditional, sleeveless tank-cut, and long-sleeve UPF.
• Pant cuts: Standard ankle-length, knicker (below-knee with elastic cuff for sock display), and full-length for cold-weather games.
• Team logo placement: Chest (sublimated full-color art), sleeve cap (sublimated or twill), back yoke (sublimated). Wrap-around dye-sublimation art across the entire jersey is supported, no per-color upcharge.
• Sponsor patches: Chest, sleeve, or hip placement, embroidered or sublimated. Free unlimited revisions on the digital mockup.
• Color matching: Provide a PMS code or a sample swatch and our art team matches it. Same-dye-batch coordination across jerseys, knickers, windshirts, and dugout jackets is standard, not an upcharge.
• Sublimation art: Unlimited colors, gradients, photo-realistic art, and patterns. Sublimation is dye-into-fiber, so detail does not cost more.
