Custom Softball Standard Knickers

Three bottom styles carry across our softball line.

• Standard Knicker (this product) — the knee-length cut that stops below the knee, worn with high socks or stirrups for the traditional baseball-heritage look; favored by programs that want the classic stirrup-showing aesthetic.
• Standard Pant — the full-length game-day pant with open or closed hem; the most common all-around choice when a program does not specifically want the stirrup look.
• Softball Shorts — the warm-weather and slowpitch bottom.

The knicker and pant share the same ~240 GSM woven polyester shell with double-knee reinforcement; the shorts use a lighter moisture-wicking athletic knit for warm-weather play. All three share the same custom piping and decoration capability. The knicker and pant sit at slightly different price points only because the knicker uses less fabric; their construction quality, fabric, and decoration are identical. The choice between knicker and pant is program aesthetic, not durability — a knicker and a full-length pant from the same order will wear identically, the only difference is the leg length and whether the player shows a sock or stirrup.

The knicker is cut to stop below the knee, leaving the lower leg for a sock or stirrup to show — that exposed-sock look is the entire point of the knicker cut and the reason programs choose it over a full-length pant. Two cuff styles are available at no extra cost, and both can be mixed within a single team order: the elastic cuff gathers snugly at the bottom of the knicker so it stays put just below the knee without riding up, and the button cuff closes with a button tab for a slightly more traditional, adjustable finish. Players typically pair the knicker with either a solid team-color sock pulled up to the knee, or a two-piece stirrup-over-sanitary-sock setup for the classic look. We do not manufacture the socks or stirrups as part of the knicker order, but our custom softball socks are available separately and can be color-matched to the knicker piping and jersey colorway in the same design conversation.

Player names and numbers do NOT go on the knicker — they sit on the jersey back panel per USA Softball Rule 3 and NCAA Rule 4-1 uniform standards. The knicker carries colorway and team-identity decoration: sublimation builds the base color, pinstripes, side piping, and any sublimated panels into the woven shell; embroidery adds a small dimensional team mark on the leg or waistband; screen printing handles an opaque team logo on the leg. The most common knicker decoration is simply the team colorway plus side piping that matches the jersey. Tackle twill, which carries the player names and numbers on the jersey, is not used on the knicker. When you order the knicker alongside a jersey, the piping and colorway are matched to the jersey in the same design mockup so the full uniform reads as one coordinated set from waistband to stirrup.

Free shipping is included on every order, regardless of size. Mixed sizes and mixed cuff styles (elastic and button) are welcome within a single order at no extra cost — youth (YS-YXL) and adult (XS-4XL) sizes all ship together at the same per-pair tier price.

Standard production time is 2-4 weeks from the time you approve the final design mockup. This includes design creation, manufacturing, quality inspection, and shipping.
