Custom Softball Long-Sleeve Jerseys

Long-sleeve is the sleeved counterpart to the sleeveless cut in our entry-level pullover tier — not the competitive-program default. Programs choose it for three honest reasons. First, early-season cold weather: spring softball in northern leagues starts in March or early April when morning temperatures can sit in the 40s or low 50s, and full-sleeve coverage is more comfortable on the field than sleeveless or short-sleeve at those temperatures. Second, extended sun coverage: long doubleheader days on afternoon fields produce real sun exposure on the upper arms, and a long-sleeve cut adds extended fabric coverage compared to short-sleeve or sleeveless cuts. We do not market this as a UPF-rated certification because we do not have lab-tested UPF measurements on our jersey fabric — but tightly woven polyester knit does provide meaningful additional sun coverage as a function of the fabric being there. Third, individual pitcher preference: some windmill pitchers prefer arm warmth on cool days (this is the opposite preference from the sleeveless windmill pitcher cohort, and both are valid individual choices). For college, elite travel-fastpitch, and varsity programs the full-button placketed cut remains the construction standard. The long-sleeve is the right call when arm coverage is the use case driver.

Six jersey configurations carry across our softball line, and each fits a different program use case.

• Long-sleeve — sleeved pullover; cold-weather, sun-coverage, and individual pitcher-preference aesthetic; shares the entry-level price tier with sleeveless, round-neck, and v-neck.
• Sleeveless — open armhole pullover; slowpitch, rec, and warm-weather aesthetic; same entry-level tier.
• Round-neck — pullover with smooth crew neckline; cleanest sublimation canvas; same entry-level tier.
• V-neck — pullover with notched v-collar; common in fastpitch as a slightly more feminine silhouette than round-neck; same entry-level tier.
• Full-button — tailored female-athlete cut with structural front placket; the college, elite travel-fastpitch, and varsity standard.
• 2-button — henley pullover with 2-button collar opening; the rec, entry-travel, and slowpitch default.

All cuts ship from the same in-house production on the same ~180 GSM moisture-wicking polyester knit; fabric and decoration capability are identical, the choice is program use case, fit, and price tier.

Long sleeves give sublimation roughly double the printable canvas of a short-sleeve or sleeveless cut. Three concrete design options open up that the sleeveless cuts cannot accommodate.

• Sleeve stripes — continuous color stripes running down both full sleeves, common in retro-inspired or college-inspired team aesthetics; dye-fused into the polyester knit so they don't crack at the elbow under wash cycles.
• Contrasting sleeve colorways — the sleeves can be a different team color from the body of the jersey (for example, a navy body with red sleeves); hard to execute cleanly on a short-sleeve cut, impossible on sleeveless.
• Upper-sleeve embroidered crests — program identity marks at the upper arm position; a placement option that simply does not exist on the sleeveless or short-sleeve cuts.

Tackle twill player names and numbers still sit on the back panel per USA Softball Rule 3 and NCAA Rule 4-1; the long-sleeve cut does not change name/number placement, only adds canvas elsewhere.
