Game softball shorts are the game-day and slowpitch short — color-matched to the jersey for a coordinated kit, typically sublimated to mirror the jersey colorway exactly. Many programs order both: training shorts for the practice rotation and game shorts (or the full uniform set) for game day. If you only need one short and your use is mostly practice and conditioning, the training short is the more flexible, budget-friendly pick; if you need a short that matches the game jersey, order the game softball shorts instead. Neither short is the heavier woven game-day pant — for slide-and-dive game play on dirt, the woven standard pant or knicker is the more durable bottom.

Training shorts offer multiple inseam length options selected during production at no extra cost — so a program can spec a shorter inseam for some players and a longer inseam for others within the same order, or pick one length for the whole roster. For a practice order, screen printing puts a single-color team logo or wordmark on the hip or leg. Sublimation gives you full-color designs and any optional player number dye-fused into the knit, and embroidery gives a premium dimensional team mark. Sublimated designs are included in the per-pair price with no setup fee; your quote shows the price for embroidery and screen printing, so you can weigh the look you want against the budget. Player names and numbers are optional on a training short and, when wanted, are sublimated or printed — primary names and numbers belong on the game jersey per uniform-rule convention. If you want the training shorts to coordinate with the game uniform, we can match the team colors in the design mockup; if you want them purely functional for practice, a simple team logo is all you need.
