Custom Softball Windbreakers

The windbreaker is a wind-and-light-rain shell, not a warmth layer — that is the most important thing to understand before ordering. The water-resistant polyester shell blocks wind and sheds light rain and drizzle, and the breathable mesh lining keeps players from overheating during warm-ups. But it has no fleece insulation, so on a genuinely cold morning it is worn OVER a fleece layer (a crewneck, hoodie, or quarter-zip), not instead of one. On water-resistance specifically: it is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. It will keep a player dry through a passing shower, drizzle, or wind-driven mist, and the shell sheds light rain — but a sustained downpour will eventually soak through, because a truly waterproof seam-sealed rain shell is a different (and much pricier) garment. For softball's typical use — wind on open fields, cool mornings, the occasional light shower — the windbreaker is the right call. If your program plays through heavy rain regularly, layer the windbreaker over a fleece and keep a dry change in the bag.

Yes, fully sublimated. The windbreaker shell is polyester, and dye-sublimation bonds to polyester — so the team colorway, color-block paneling, graphics, and even player names and large lettering all dye-fuse permanently into the shell, the same process used on our jerseys. That makes the windbreaker one of the most design-flexible layers we offer: an all-over team print is on the table here in a way it is not on the cotton-fleece crewneck and hoodies. Embroidery (a compact left-chest crest) and screen printing (opaque logos) are also available. The one method we do NOT use on the windbreaker is tackle twill — sewn felt/twill lettering needs a substantial fabric to anchor cleanly, and a lightweight windbreaker shell would pucker and pull around heavy stitched letters. So where a fleece crewneck would carry a tackle-twill team name, the windbreaker carries that same name sublimated into the shell instead — cleaner on this fabric, and included at no extra cost.

Think of the layers in two jobs: blocking weather and adding warmth. The windbreaker (this product) is the weather-blocking shell — light, packable, water-resistant, worn on its own in mild wind or over a fleece in the cold. For warmth, the cotton-fleece layers (crewneck sweatshirt, pullover hoodie, full-zip hoodie) and the performance quarter-zip pullover trap heat for dugout and cold-morning use. The dugout jacket is the heaviest option, combining warmth and weather coverage for the coldest game days. A common program setup is a fleece layer for warmth plus a windbreaker as the outer shell, with the dugout jacket reserved for teams that play deep into cold weather. The windbreaker pairs over any of the fleece layers, and because it sublimates, it can carry the full team design even when worn as the outermost piece.
