The varsity jacket is a keepsake garment, and chenille patches and embroidery are the finishes that match it. Chenille patches are the thick, soft, raised letters and mascot patches sewn directly onto the jacket — the dimensional, tactile finish that has defined letterman jackets for a century and that a flat print simply cannot replicate. Embroidery adds precise stitched logos, player names, and numbers. Both are sewn into the jacket, so they hold for years of regular wear, which matters on a jacket meant to be kept long after the season. We do NOT screen-print or sublimate the varsity jacket: screen printing would look cheap on a letterman jacket and crack over years of wear, and sublimation requires a high-polyester fabric and a flat surface that the jacket's two-tone construction and patch-based design are not built for. The chenille-and-embroidery combination is the whole point of a varsity jacket — it is what makes it a keepsake rather than just another team layer.

The varsity jacket is built two-tone: you choose a body color and a contrasting sleeve color to match your program's color scheme — the classic letterman look (for example, a navy body with white sleeves, or a black body with gold sleeves). The jacket has a snap-front closure, a quilted interior lining for warmth, and ribbed knit collar, cuffs, and waistband that hold the silhouette. On the decoration side, the chenille letter-award system is the traditional varsity feature: a large chenille letter (often the school or program initial) goes on the left chest, mascot and award patches go on the sleeves and chest, and embroidered player names and numbers personalize each jacket across the roster. Many programs use the jacket as an actual earned-letter award — players earn the jacket or a letter patch for it through a season of play. The varsity jacket is the keepsake piece; the rest of the outerwear is functional game-day gear. The dugout jacket is the heaviest functional layer (quilted warmth plus a weather-shell for cold game days), the windbreaker is the light wind-and-rain shell, and the fleece crewneck, hoodies, and quarter-zip are the everyday warmth layers worn at the field. Those are all built to be worn hard during the season and decorated with print, embroidery, or sublimation. The varsity jacket is different in purpose and decoration: it is the jacket players take to school, wear on the bus, and keep for years, built with two-tone construction and finished with chenille patches and embroidery rather than print. It is also the most premium piece in the line because the construction and sewn-on decoration are labor-intensive. A program typically orders functional layers for everyone and varsity jackets as the keepsake or earned-award piece.

Free shipping is included on every order, regardless of size. Mixed sizes are welcome within a single order at no extra cost — youth and adult (through 4XL) sizes all ship together at the same per-jacket tier price.
