Both — the same Custom Football Compression Shorts pair works for both use cases. As a BASE LAYER UNDER TACKLE GAME PANTS, the form-fitting cut sits close to the body under uniform pants when players accelerate, cut, or hit the ground. As STANDALONE 7V7 OR FLAG FOOTBALL SHORTS, the same pair becomes the visible game-day piece (often with a longer game short over them, or as standalone in summer 7v7), so the printed team colors and number match the rest of the program's look. Programs typically order one design that works in both contexts and let players pick how to wear them by week and weather.

The Custom Football Compression Shorts are available in two compression lengths: SHORT (mid-thigh, roughly a 5-7" inseam depending on size) for skill players and warm-weather practice, and LONG (knee-length, roughly a 9-11" inseam) for line play and cold-weather games. Both lengths use the same form-fitting poly-spandex 4-way stretch knit and flatlock seams. Mixed lengths and sizes are welcome within a single order at no extra cost — for example, you can order shorts for skill players and longs for the offensive and defensive lines on the same order.

The Custom Football Compression Shorts are form-fitting — they sit snug to the thigh, hip, and seat with 4-way stretch fabric that moves with the body and stays in place under reps. Loose-fit practice shorts hang away from the body and can bunch under game pants. For 7v7 / flag use without pads the compression cut also looks like a varsity-program piece, not a baggy training short. Players who prefer a looser fit can size up one size from the chart.

The Custom Football Compression Shorts are decorated with two methods: sublimation prints unlimited-color graphics — team colors, logos, player numbers, mascots — directly into the poly-spandex stretch knit (no print layer to crack or peel), and screen printing handles cost-effective single-color graphics on the leg side or waistband. Tackle twill and embroidery are not used on this product because sewn-on heavyweight patches crack on 4-way stretch fabric and press uncomfortably against the thigh inside game pants during reps. The design files match your tackle-football game-day uniform color-palette so the base layer reads as part of the program.
