The tear-away is the wrestling-specific bottom: a full-length snap-button breakaway runs each leg seam so a wrestler snaps the pants off mat-side in one pull — over shoes, without sitting down or untying — in the seconds before the whistle. A jogger or track pant has to be pulled down over the feet, which means sitting down and removing shoes. Order the tear-away for the competition walkout and mat-side removal; order a jogger-style warmup pant for travel and bench wear where quick removal doesn't matter.
Heavy-duty snaps run the full length of each leg seam. Closed, they hold securely through dynamic warmup drills, corridor walks, and bench time — the elastic waistband and internal drawstring lock the fit so nothing shifts between rounds.
