Practice shorts (this product) are the loose, lightweight daily training short for the wrestling room — quick-dry poly with breathable mesh side panels, worn over a compression base layer through double sessions and drilling. They prioritize airflow and freedom of movement over a tight fit. Compression shorts are the skin-tight 4-way stretch base layer worn underneath. Board shorts are the heavier MMA-style knee-length cut with Velcro closure for cross-environment wear. Fight shorts are the 7-9 inch split-leg cut for BJJ-style grappling. Most wrestlers run compression as the base layer with practice shorts over the top for daily room work, board or fight shorts for cross-training, and the singlet for competition. Practice shorts are usually the highest-volume short order since they're the everyday workhorse.

Wrestling practice shorts run a loose, relaxed cut — typically around a 9-inch inseam that clears the knee for full mobility during shots, sprawls, and live goes, with the exact measurement available in the size chart and adjustable shorter or longer at no extra cost. Unlike competition gear (the singlet and compression layers, which are form-fitted with no pockets by rule), practice shorts can be ordered with pockets — these are training shorts worn in the room and on the way to practice, so a side pocket for a phone or key is a practical option many programs add.
