Quick Answer

A football uniform package is the game jersey and game pants sold together, with names, numbers and logos printed in, and it does not include the helmet or pads. At Hamco a sublimated jersey and pants set costs $99.99 per player at 1 to 24 sets, $94.99 at 25 to 50, $92.99 at 51 to 100 and $89.99 at 101 plus. There is no minimum order, youth YS to adult 4XL is one price, the mockup is free in 12 hours and delivery is three weeks. Add a practice jersey and training shorts and the per player cost is $153.97 to $179.97. Add a compression shirt, compression shorts and an away set and a full program kit is $308.94 to $361.94. Capra publishes $89.97 to $139.97 per player at a 10 player minimum and Wooter $89.99 per set from 10. For a 45 player team, budget about $4,300 for game sets alone and $7,700 for game sets plus practice gear.

Football is one of the hardest team uniforms to get right. The jersey has to go over shoulder pads and still reach the pants. The pants have to hold knee and thigh pads. The numbers have to pass an NFHS official before kickoff. And most programs need a practice set and a second game set on top of all that. Football uniform packages exist to make that one order instead of five. This guide breaks down what a package includes and what each piece costs per player at every order size. It also shows how custom football uniforms from Hamco compare with the other package vendors, and where the money goes when you outfit a whole program.

Two honest notes before the numbers. First, a uniform package is not the full equipment bill. The helmet, shoulder pads, hip, tailbone, thigh and knee pads, cleats and mouthguard are separate purchases. The helmet is a certified piece of safety equipment that is priced on its own. Second, the cheapest set per player is not always the cheapest season. A football uniform set gets replaced when the fabric or the print fails under pads. Ask every vendor what the jersey is made of, how the numbers are applied and what the reorder price is before you compare stickers. Every price below was read from the vendor’s own page on October 8, 2026 and will change; the product page is the live number.

What is included in a football uniform package?

Football player in full pads wearing a sublimated game jersey and pants, the jersey covering the shoulder pads as NFHS rules require

The word package means different things on different sites, so read the line items, not the name. At Hamco the base unit is the uniform set: one game jersey and one pair of game pants. They are produced together so the two pieces come from the same dye lot and the colors match. Names, numbers, team logos, the 12 hour mockup and shipping are included in the per set price, and there is no setup fee and no minimum. The set comes in heavyweight performance polyester with reinforced shoulder panels on the jersey and reinforced knee panels on the pants. It takes all four decoration methods: sublimation for the colors and graphics, tackle twill for sewn numbers, embroidery for names and crests, and screen printing for single color sponsor marks. The professional football uniform is the same set built to NFHS and NCAA spec, with pad pocket reinforcement and custom sizing beyond the stock YS to 4XL range. It is the same price.

Everything else is a separate line you add per player. The table shows the pieces most programs add and what each one is for. Two things that are not in any uniform package, from any vendor, are covered further down: protective equipment and footwear.

How much do football uniforms cost per player?

Here is the honest answer to how much does a football uniform cost: it depends on how many pieces you call the uniform and how many players are on the order. The four package levels from the first table, priced per player at each Hamco tier, come out like this. The product pages tier each product by its own quantity, so a 30 player team buying 30 sets and 30 practice jerseys is in the 25 to 50 tier on both.

Package level, per player1 to 2425 to 5051 to 100101 plus
Game day (set only)$99.99$94.99$92.99$89.99
Game plus practice (set, practice jersey, training shorts)$179.97$170.97$162.97$153.97
Program (plus compression shirt)$218.96$205.96$195.96$183.96
Full program (plus away set and compression shorts)$361.94$340.94$325.94$308.94

So a football jersey cost on its own is not a number Hamco publishes for tackle football, because the game jersey is only sold with its pants. The closest single jersey prices are the practice jersey and the fan jersey at $44.99 each at 1 to 24. If you are pricing youth sizes, the numbers are identical. Youth YS through adult 4XL is one price, which matters for a youth league where half the roster is in youth sizes. Our youth football jerseys guide covers the youth specific fit and rule questions.

What does a whole team or program spend?

Per player prices hide the real decision, which is the check the booster club writes. The table applies the tier each roster lands in. The chart below it stacks the Program level piece by piece from 1 to 150 players. You can see where the money goes and where the tier breaks ease the slope.

Totals assume every product is ordered in the same quantity; prices change, the product page is the live number.

Two things the chart makes obvious. The game set is about half of the Program total at every size, so if the budget is short, cut the compression layer before you cut the game set. And the tier breaks matter most at 100. A program with 96 players that adds five spares reaches 101 and drops every piece to the 101 plus price. On the Program level that saves $12 per player on all 101. The youth football equipment checklist covers the pads and helmet side of the same budget, which is the part that is not in the chart.

How do Hamco football uniform packages compare with other vendors?

Two other vendors publish package prices without a quote form, so they can be compared line for line. The numbers below are copied from the exact pages linked in each row on October 8, 2026 and they are not Hamco’s claims about them.

The straight read. Wooter publishes two price lists that do not agree with each other. The comparison uses the page named in each row, and you should check both before you quote a board. Against the wooterapparel.com page, Hamco is about $10 per set more than Wooter and Capra at 10 to 24, and Capra’s Ace price includes a second jersey. At 101 plus that Wooter page is $25 per set lower than Hamco. Against the wooter.com store, a single set is $106.85, which is $6.86 more than Hamco’s 1 to 24 price. What you get for Hamco’s price is the part the sticker does not show. No minimum, so a 7v7 team of 8 or a single replacement set can be ordered. One price from youth small to adult 4XL. Tackle twill and embroidery on the same set. Custom sizing beyond stock sizes on the professional set. And a three week window that includes shipping. If none of that matters to your program and you are ordering 101 sets, Wooter’s football page is cheaper on paper. If you are ordering 18 youth sets with three 4XL linemen and a kid who needs a YS, Hamco is usually the one that can take the order as written.

What do the NFHS rules require from a football uniform package?

Any package sold for high school play has to pass the NFHS 2026 football jersey and pant rules, and many youth leagues adopt them, so check your league sheet. The rules that touch the order are in the table. One numbering rule that affects the order is not on the sheet. Under NFHS rules offensive linemen must wear 50 to 79 and everyone else 0 to 49 or 80 to 99, per the Wikipedia uniform number page and the Rule 7.2.5 reference in 1.4.3. Make sure the roster has enough numbers in the 50s, 60s and 70s before the mockup is approved.

Rule (NFHS 2026)What it saysWhat to put on the order
Numbers, 1.4.3 and 1.5.1c0 to 99, no number with a leading zero; front and back; at least 8 inches high on the front and 10 on the back including any border; the number body is one solid color that clearly contrasts with the jersey, about 1 1/2 inch stroke, same color and style front and backLock the roster with no duplicates and no 01; 8 inch front, 10 inch back, solid fill, trim is fine
Visiting jersey, 1.5.1b2Body of the jersey all white; only numbers, school name, nickname, logo, mascot or player name in a contrasting color; shoulder stripe up to 1 inch (3.5 inches combined if added after production); collar up to 1 inch; side insert up to 4 inchesThe away set is white body; keep side panels at 4 inches or less and shoulder stripes at 1 inch
Home jersey, 1.5.1b3Same dark color on every home jersey, clearly contrasting with white; white allowed only in the same places listed for the visitorThe home set is one dark color; no white blocks in the body
Jersey length and pads, 1.5.1b1 and dJersey reaches the top of the pants and is tucked if longer, and fully covers the shoulder pads; hip, tailbone, thigh and knee pads are requiredMeasure over pads; order the set, buy the pads separately

What is not in a football uniform package?

Football helmet, shoulder pads, hip, thigh and knee pads, cleats and mouthguard laid out next to a uniform, the gear a uniform package does not include

Every vendor’s package stops at the fabric. Before you quote parents a per player number, add the items below, none of which are on the uniform invoice.

  • Helmet, fitted and certified. The youth football helmet guide covers sizing, ratings and the brands by age.
  • Shoulder pads, and the hip, tailbone, thigh and knee pads NFHS 1.5.1d requires. The game pants are cut with hip and thigh room for pad placement; the pads themselves are bought separately.
  • Cleats, mouthguard, and a girdle if the league uses them.
  • A second set of game pants if the league plays on dirt and mud. One pair of white pants through a wet season is a laundry problem, not a uniform problem.
  • Spares. Order two extra sets in the two most common sizes with numbers not in the lineup. The transfer who shows up in week three will need one, and a single set reorder is another three week wait.

How do you lower the cost per player without buying a worse uniform?

  1. Order to the next tier. 24 sets cost $2,399.76; 25 sets cost $2,374.75. The 25th set costs less than nothing and the spare is useful. The same math works at 51 and 101.
  2. Combine squads into one order. Varsity, JV and freshman sets in one order with different numbers land in one tier, which is the cheapest tier any of them will see.
  3. Make the practice jersey reversible instead of buying two. The practice jersey has a reversible option for offense and defense splits in one piece.
  4. Use the compression shirt as the 7v7 and flag jersey. The compression shirt is $38.99 at 1 to 24 and takes numbers, which is how the flag football uniforms guide outfits a summer team without a second tackle set.
  5. Keep the design to two colors plus white or black. Sublimation makes extra colors free, which is exactly why so many packages look like a paint store. The jersey color combinations guide has pairs that pass the NFHS contrast rule and still look like a program.
  6. Pick a number font that passes at 8 and 10 inches. A condensed script that fails the solid color rule gets the whole order remade. The best jersey fonts guide covers the ones officials can read.

For the design itself, the football jersey design guide walks through templates, number placement and trends. The football jersey maker post shows how the mockup process works before anything is printed. Rosters, sizing over pads and payment are in how to order team uniforms. If the team is new and does not have a name yet, start with the football team names list. The how to start a flag football league cost guide covers the rest of a first season budget.

FAQ: Football Uniform Packages

What does one football uniform cost with names and numbers?

A sublimated game jersey and pants set is $99.99 per player at 1 to 24 sets and $89.99 at 101 plus from Hamco, with names, numbers and logos included. Add a practice jersey and training shorts and it is $153.97 to $179.97. A full home, away and practice kit is $308.94 to $361.94. Helmets and pads are extra.

What comes in a football uniform package from a vendor?

The game jersey and game pants, printed with names, numbers and logos, plus whatever the vendor bundles. That can be a second jersey at Capra, a duffel bag on its higher tiers, or practice gear if you add it. No package includes the helmet, shoulder pads, hip, tailbone, thigh or knee pads, cleats or mouthguard.

How much does a football jersey cost on its own?

Hamco sells the tackle game jersey only as part of the set. The single jersey prices are the practice jersey and the fan jersey at $44.99 each at 1 to 24 and $36.99 at 101 plus. Wooter’s football page publishes a single sublimated jersey at $44.99 at 10 to 50.

How much do football jerseys cost for a youth team?

The same as adult sizes at Hamco, because youth YS to adult 4XL is one price. A 25 player youth team pays $94.99 per set, $2,374.75 for the team, before pads and helmets. The other two package vendors start at a 10 player minimum.

Does the package meet NFHS rules?

Hamco’s professional football uniform is built to NFHS and NCAA spec per its product page, and any set passes if you order it to the NFHS 2026 jersey and pant rules. That means 8 inch front and 10 inch back numbers in a single solid contrasting color. The visiting set has a white body and the home set is one dark color. Side inserts are 4 inches or less and the one manufacturer’s logo is under 2 1/4 square inches. The pads the rules require are bought separately.
