Custom Softball Shorts

Softball shorts are the warm-weather and slowpitch bottom in our line, and they fit three situations. First, slowpitch: slowpitch softball runs more casual than fastpitch and shorts are a common, accepted game bottom at the rec and league level. Second, warm-weather and summer play: for hot-climate leagues and summer tournaments, a lighter knit short is more comfortable than a full-length woven game-day pant. Third, practice and training: many fastpitch programs that wear full-length pants on game day still order matching shorts for practice and warm-ups. The key distinction is the fabric: the shorts are a lighter moisture-wicking polyester athletic knit built for warm-weather comfort, NOT the heavier ~240 GSM woven shell with double-knee reinforcement used on our game-day standard pant, full-length pant, and standard knicker — those are built for the slide-and-dive abrasion of full-length game play. If your program slides hard and often on dirt, the woven game-day pant or knicker is the more durable choice; if you want a warm-weather or slowpitch bottom, the shorts are the right call.

The softball shorts run a 9 to 11 inch inseam depending on size — long enough for full coverage and athletic modesty at all positions, short enough to keep the stride and lateral range unrestricted. The fit is an athletic cut with an elastic waistband and adjustable internal drawstring so the short stays in place through baserunning, fielding, and hard cuts without shifting. The standard game/competition short does NOT have pockets — pockets add bulk and can catch during slides and dives, so the competition cut is built clean. If your use case is practice, coaching, or a casual team short where pockets are wanted, mention it in the design conversation and we can advise on a pocketed option. Sizing runs youth (YS-YXL) through adult (XS-4XL) and the size chart includes waist and inseam measurements so you can confirm fit before ordering a full team batch.

Both. The shorts are sold as a standalone product — order them on their own for practice, warm-ups, or as a slowpitch bottom paired with a jersey you already have. They can also be ordered alongside any of our jersey cuts and color-matched in the same design mockup so the shorts and jersey read as one coordinated kit. If you want the jersey and shorts locked together in a single dye-sublimation run (so the colorway matches exactly across both pieces with no separate-order color drift), order one of our complete uniform sets instead — the racerback uniform set and the v-neck uniform set both ship a jersey plus matching shorts together. Order the standalone shorts when the jersey is already handled or when you want shorts for practice; order the uniform set when you are building a new coordinated kit from scratch.

There's no minimum order quantity for the Custom Softball Shorts — order as few as 1 pair, or scale up through our volume tiers (1-24, 25-50, 51-100, and 101-500+ pairs) for lower per-pair pricing as your order grows. Free shipping is included on every order, regardless of size. Mixed sizes are welcome within a single order at no extra cost — youth (YS-YXL) and adult (XS-4XL) sizes all ship together at the same per-pair tier price.

Standard production time is 2-4 weeks from the time you approve the final design mockup. This includes design creation, manufacturing, quality inspection, and shipping. We also offer rush production for urgent orders — contact us to discuss expedited timelines. Tracking information is provided once your order ships so you know exactly when to expect delivery.

Three decoration methods on softball shorts: sublimation (colorway, pinstripes, color blocking, and optional player number dye-fused into the polyester knit to match the jersey), embroidery (small dimensional team mark on the hip or leg), and screen printing (opaque team logo on the hip or leg). An optional player number can be sublimated or printed on the short, though primary player names and numbers belong on the jersey per uniform-rule convention. All decoration is included in the per-pair price with no setup or design fees. Free design mockups are sent within 12 hours so you can preview the final look before production begins.
