It's water-resistant, not fully waterproof. The DWR (durable water-repellent) coating on the polyester shell beads up and sheds light-to-moderate rain through a typical 80-minute match or training session, and the full-zip front with adjustable hood keeps wind and spray off. In a sustained downpour, water will eventually wet through — that's true of any packable rugby shell at this weight, and we'd rather be honest about it than promise sealed-seam waterproofing we don't construct. For drier sideline or cold-only days, look at our track jacket or full-zip hoodie instead.

It's a ~150 GSM lightweight polyester shell with a DWR water-repellent finish — light enough to layer over a jersey without bulk, and it compresses down into its own pocket so each player can stash it in a kit bag for travel or tour. The full-color sublimated design becomes part of the shell, so the jacket goes from packable carry to full team colorway as soon as it's unrolled.

Three methods: full-color sublimation builds the team colorway and panels into the polyester shell so nothing cracks, peels, or fades; embroidery delivers a dimensional chest crest for a club-issued look; and screen printing handles bold sponsor marks. We don't put tackle-twill names or numbers on the rain jacket — sewn-on twill is heavy and stiff on a packable shell and the stitching perforates the DWR-treated face.
