Both. The compression short is a snug base layer most players wear under their match or training shorts for muscle support, and many also wear it on its own for gym work and conditioning. Because it's customized in your team colors and logo, the squad looks team-issued right down to the base layer rather than wearing generic black shorts under the kit.
They're meant to fit snug against the skin — that's what delivers the graduated compression. The leg runs mid-thigh, roughly an 8-9 inch inseam by size. Size to the player's true measurement rather than sizing up; we provide a measurement guide during design, and the 4-way stretch knit accommodates a wide range of builds.
