Classic rugby shorts run a short, above-the-knee cut — roughly a 5-7 inch inseam depending on size — for free leg movement in the ruck and at the breakdown. The fit is relaxed through the thigh with an elastic waistband and internal drawstring to lock them in through contact. If your club prefers a longer or shorter leg, we can adjust it during design at no extra cost; the exact measurements are in our size chart.
No — classic rugby match shorts are made without pockets, because open pockets catch fingers and studs in the tackle and ruck and are a safety and snag risk in contact. If you want pockets for a training or touring pair worn off the pitch, we can add them as a custom option; just flag it during design. The match pair is built clean and pocketless by default.
Order them on their own. The classic shorts are a standalone match bottom — ideal for pairing with a jersey your club already owns, replacing worn shorts mid-season, or building a kit piece by piece.
