Most players take the same size on both pieces — jersey and pants are cut to a coordinated tackle-football fit (athletic through the shoulders, with hip and thigh room on the pants for pad placement). About 80% of rosters order matched sizes per player. Some linemen size up the jersey for shoulder-pad clearance and keep pants at standard waist size; some skill players size down the jersey for a fitted look. Mixed sizing within a single order is welcome at no extra cost — you just specify per player on the size sheet, and the design team will lay out names and numbers across whatever combinations you submit.

Sublimation bonds the design directly into the polyester fibers, so the graphic survives the friction and abrasion that shoulder pads put on a jersey across 10-12 games and a season of practice. The pad-contact zones (shoulder caps, upper chest, upper back) see the most wear, and on a sublimated jersey the print stays as crisp on game 12 as it was on game 1 — no cracking, peeling, or fade-out at the contact points the way you'd see on a screen-printed jersey. The fabric itself will eventually thin in the high-contact zones; the print outlasts the fabric. We recommend cold-water inside-out wash and tumble-dry low to maximize the fabric's structural life.

Each method has a different lifespan and look on a tackle-football jersey: Sublimated numbers are part of the fabric and last the lifetime of the jersey itself — they don't peel, crack, or wear off, but they sit flat on the fabric (no dimensional depth). Tackle-twill numbers are sewn-on heavyweight twill panels with that classic varsity-program dimensional look — they survive a multi-season life with occasional re-stitching at the edges if a corner lifts. Embroidered numbers are crisp and dimensional but tend to be reserved for smaller chest numbers (the back number is usually too large for embroidery to be cost-effective). Most varsity programs go: tackle-twill for the front and back numbers (classic look), embroidery for player names above the back number, sublimation for the body color and sleeve stripes.
