Quick Answer
Ten names come up in every search for basketball jersey companies, but only six of them are separate businesses. Augusta, Holloway, Russell Athletic team uniforms, Teamwork Athletic (ProSphere) and Alleson are all brands of Momentec Brands in Charlotte, North Carolina. They sell through dealers, not to teams. Nike, Under Armour and adidas also sell team uniforms through dealers and publish no prices. Champion Teamwear lists dealer prices online (UltraFuse sublimated jersey $48.99, shorts $48.99). Hamco Sports is the only company on this list that sells direct and publishes its prices: $69.99 per jersey and shorts set, falling to $59.99 at 101 plus. Hamco also has no minimum, 3 week production, and a free mockup in 12 hours.
Picking a supplier for your team’s basketball jerseys decides how your program looks for the next two or three seasons. It also decides how much budget is left for everything else. This guide compares the 10 basketball jersey companies coaches ask about most. It is published on the Hamco Sports blog, and Hamco is on the list, so we did two things to keep it fair. We only used facts each company publishes on its own site or in its own press releases. And we say plainly where a company publishes nothing. If you want the budget math by roster size first, our custom basketball uniforms cost guide has it.
The big surprise in this update is that half the list is one company. In March 2024 Augusta Sportswear Brands and Founder Sport Group merged under a new name, Momentec Brands. According to the NSGA announcement, Momentec now owns Augusta, Holloway, Alleson, Russell Athletic team uniforms, Badger, High Five and Pacific Headwear. Founder Sport Group had already bought Teamwork Athletic Apparel in 2018, per its press release. So when you compare Augusta to Holloway to Alleson, you are comparing three catalogs from the same company. If you are new to the ordering process, read our how to order team uniforms guide alongside this one.
What changed in this version of the guide
The earlier version of this article gave every company a score out of 10, a price range, a minimum order and a turnaround. Most of those numbers had no published source, so this version drops them. Ratings are gone. Every price, size range, production time and ownership fact now links to the page it came from. The comparison table says Not published where a company does not publish a figure, and the Hamco terms (3 week production, youth XS to adult 4XL, redo or credit for defects reported within 7 days) are quoted from Hamco’s own product and policy pages.
How we compared the companies
- Who you buy from. Direct from the maker, or through a team dealer and a sales rep. This changes price, speed and who fixes a problem.
- Published pricing. Can you see a per uniform price before you call anyone.
- Minimum order and volume tiers, in the company’s own words.
- Production time, as the company states it, not as a reviewer guessed it.
- Sublimation. Whether the company runs a full sublimation program, which is what most teams want in 2026. Our sublimated jerseys guide explains why.
- Sizes. Youth and adult range, and whether custom sizing is offered.
- Ownership. Who owns the brand, because it tells you how many real choices you have.
Who owns which basketball jersey brand in 2026
This table is the part most buyer guides skip. Momentec Brands was formed on March 28, 2024, when Platinum Equity merged Augusta Sportswear Brands with Founder Sport Group. It is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, per the NSGA. The Champion Teamwear business changed hands the same year. Authentic Brands Group bought the Champion brand from HanesBrands. Then on October 1, 2024, Ames Watson took over Champion Teamwear and the collegiate apparel business, per the NSGA report.

The 10 basketball jersey companies, one by one
1. Hamco Sports: the direct seller with published prices
Hamco Sports has designed custom basketball uniforms in the United States since 2011 and builds them in its own facility, per the custom basketball uniforms page. The standard game jersey is 160 to 180 GSM polyester interlock, and reversible jerseys are a single layer 180 GSM with sublimation on both sides. Sizes run youth XS through adult 4XL, with custom sizing available. Production is 3 weeks from mockup approval, and rush production is 10 to 12 business days, per the refund policy. There is no minimum order, no setup fee, free US shipping, and a free mockup within 12 hours with unlimited revisions. Custom orders cannot be returned, but any defect, misspelled name or missing item reported within 7 days of delivery gets a redo or credit.
- Price: a V neck uniform set (jersey plus shorts) is $69.99 each for 1 to 24, $64.99 for 25 to 50, $62.99 for 51 to 100, and $59.99 for 101 plus. The reversible set is $99.99 down to $89.99.
- Best for: AAU, school and rec teams that want a price before they call, and small rosters that cannot meet a dealer minimum.
- Honest limits: online only, no showroom, and no stock jerseys for next day delivery. Every piece is made to order.
2. Nike Team: the biggest brand, but only through a dealer
Nike does not sell custom team uniforms from its own site. The Nike Team page sends you to authorized dealers. Two of the largest are BSN SPORTS, which connects you with a sales pro and a My Team Shop, and gearUP. gearUP says its in stock Nike Team items ship within two weeks. Neither dealer publishes a custom uniform price or a minimum online; the quote comes from the rep. Best for programs with a dealer relationship already in place and a budget that can absorb a brand premium.
3. Under Armour: made by BSN SPORTS and Momentec from 2026
Under Armour changed how its uniforms are made. In a June 3, 2025 release, the company said BSN SPORTS becomes an official manufacturer of UA sublimated uniforms starting January 2026. It also extended its Momentec Brands partnership by five years. Under Armour keeps the design and fabric work; the partners make and sell the uniforms. In practice you order Under Armour basketball uniforms through a BSN SPORTS rep or a Momentec dealer, and no price is published.
4. adidas Team: configurator online, quote from a rep
The adidas Team USA site offers an adicustom uniform configurator and an adidas Locker Room program. Ordering runs through a Contact a representative button. No basketball uniform price, minimum or lead time is published. adidas makes sense for programs that already wear the three stripes on footwear and want one brand across the roster.
5. Champion Teamwear: dealer catalog with visible list prices
Champion Teamwear is the one brand on this list other than Hamco that puts prices on the page. On October 1, 2026 the basketball catalog listed the UltraFuse sublimated jersey at $48.99 and the matching shorts at $48.99. The Elite jersey and shorts were $60.99 each, and the UltraFuse single ply reversible jersey was $66.99. The catch: the site calls itself a tools and resources site for dealers, and you must sign in to place an order. So a team buys through a Champion dealer, who sets the final price. Sizes run youth XS to adult 4XL in the filter list.
6. Russell Athletic: a 1902 brand whose uniforms are made by Momentec
Russell Athletic was founded in 1902 in Alexander City, Alabama, and joined Fruit of the Loom (Berkshire Hathaway) in 2006. It announced an exit from team uniforms in September 2017, then restarted them in 2018 through an agreement with Augusta Sportswear, per Wikipedia. That agreement now sits inside Momentec Brands. The consumer site russellathletic.com sells retail clothing, so a team buying Russell basketball uniforms goes through a Momentec dealer. The old version of this article called Russell slower to adopt new fabric tech; we have no source for that and have removed it.
7. Augusta Sportswear: the flagship Momentec label
Augusta Sportswear is the brand the merged company was partly named after. Its old website now redirects to momentecbrands.com, which lists Augusta, Alleson, Badger, C2, High Five, Holloway, Pacific Headwear and Russell Athletic together. That site advertises a 5 Day Sublimation program and a Legacy Alleson Builder with over 280 styles. The site asks for a New Account application, which is a dealer sign up, not a team checkout. The earlier claim that Augusta has no minimum order is not stated anywhere on the site, so it is gone.
8. Holloway: a Momentec brand, and a web address trap
Holloway is sold under the same Momentec roof as Augusta, with the same dealer path. One warning for anyone searching: holloway.com is not the uniform company, it is an unrelated book site. The uniform brand lives on momentecbrands.com. The old review praised Holloway for eco friendly fabrics and strong customer service; neither claim has a published source, so this version only says what Momentec says.
9. Teamwork Athletic Apparel (ProSphere): quick turn sublimation inside Momentec
Teamwork Athletic Apparel was founded in 1987, is headquartered in San Marcos, California, and runs a plant in Mexico. Founder Sport Group bought it on September 19, 2018 and called it the industry leader in quick turn custom sublimation, per the press release. Its ProSphere sublimated line is sold to team uniform dealers and decorators, so teams buy ProSphere through a dealer. The teamworkathletic.com address now redirects to a Founder Sport Group dealer portal.
10. Alleson Athletic: founded 1933, not 1932
Alleson Athletic was founded in 1933 in Rochester, New York, and Badger Sportswear bought it in November 2017, per the acquisition release. That release describes Alleson as a maker of in stock uniforms, team apparel and custom sublimated garments for team dealers, decorators and collegiate bookstores. The old article said 1932 and gave Alleson a 12 uniform minimum and a 4 to 6 week turnaround; none of that is published. allesonathletic.com now opens on a dealer login screen.

The chart shows the only two companies with public basketball prices. A Champion UltraFuse jersey and shorts list at $97.98 before a dealer’s markup or discount, with no volume tiers shown. A Hamco jersey and shorts set is $69.99 at 1 to 24 and $59.99 at 101 plus, with shipping and the mockup included. If you want a reversible for practice and game day, our reversible basketball uniforms guide shows how one set replaces two.
Which basketball jersey company is best for youth teams?
Youth programs need small order flexibility, youth sizes, and a price parents will accept. Dealer brands can be fine if your league already orders 100 plus pieces through a rep, because the rep handles sizing and reorders. For a single team of 10 to 15 kids, a direct seller with no minimum is simpler. Hamco sells youth XS through adult 4XL in every basketball style at one flat price, and mixed sizes in one order cost nothing extra. Our best basketball uniforms for youth guide covers fit and durability by age group.
Which company is best for bulk basketball jersey orders?
For 100 plus uniforms, every company on this list can produce the volume. The real questions are price per piece at that tier and how reorders work. Hamco publishes its 101 plus tier ($59.99 per set), and mixed sizes within one order cost nothing extra. Dealer brands negotiate bulk pricing through the rep, which can be competitive for a district wide contract, but you will not see the number until you ask. Ask any dealer for the reorder price of a single jersey mid season, because that is where surprises hide.
Which companies specialize in sublimated basketball jerseys?
All ten now offer sublimation. The difference is who runs the press. Hamco sublimates in its own facility. Champion runs UltraFuse. Momentec runs sublimation for Augusta, Holloway, Russell, ProSphere and Alleson in shared plants, and from January 2026 BSN SPORTS runs the press for Under Armour. Nike and adidas sublimated uniforms come through their dealer programs. If you are still deciding between sublimation and screen print or twill, our what is sublimation printing guide explains the trade offs in plain language.
What brands do AAU and travel teams use?
There is no published count of which brands AAU teams wear, and the old version of this article claimed one without a source. What we can say is what the buying paths look like. Shoe company sponsored circuits usually supply Nike, adidas or Under Armour uniforms through the circuit. Independent travel programs that buy their own uniforms tend to use direct sellers or a local dealer. They need matching home and away sets before a live period and cannot wait on a rep. Hamco’s basketball page is written for AAU, school and college programs, and its rush option exists for AAU live periods and tournament deadlines.
How to choose a basketball jersey supplier
| Question to ask | Direct seller (Hamco) | Dealer brand (Nike, UA, adidas, Champion, Momentec) |
|---|---|---|
| Where do I see the price? | On the product page, with volume tiers | From the rep, after a quote |
| Who fixes a wrong name or number? | The maker, redo or credit if reported within 7 days | The dealer, under its own policy |
| Who makes the mockup? | The maker, free, within 12 hours, unlimited revisions | The dealer or brand design tool; terms vary |
| Can I order 8 jerseys? | Yes, no minimum | Ask; minimums are not published |
| How fast? | 3 weeks; rush 10 to 12 business days | Not published; stock items faster than custom |
| Is the brand logo on the jersey? | No, your team’s brand only | Yes, the swoosh, stripes or UA logo |
Two more checks before you pay. Request the size chart and have players try a sample size run, because youth and adult cuts differ between makers; our basketball uniform size guide shows how to measure. And read the care rules, since sublimated polyester lasts longer when washed cold and hung to dry, as our how to wash a jersey guide explains. For the design side, the basketball jersey design guide and the custom basketball jersey maker walkthrough cover colors, fonts and number placement. If your school also fields volleyball, the same ownership map applies in our volleyball uniform companies comparison.
