Yes — sublimation bonds the design directly into the polyester fibers, so it cannot crack, peel, or fade off. Practice tees see more wash cycles than any other piece of the uniform (typically 2-3 washes per week through a season). The sublimated colors stay true through the lifecycle of the shirt itself; the fabric will eventually thin and the seams will eventually stress before the print ever fails.

Wash inside-out in cold water (warm or hot accelerates fabric thinning on lightweight polyester). Tumble dry low or hang dry — high heat shortens the fabric's structural life by 30-40% over a season. Skip fabric softener; it leaves a residue that reduces moisture-wicking performance over time. Bleach is fine on whites but will gradually break down sublimated colors on darks, so spot-treat stains rather than full-load bleaching. Equipment managers running a 30-roster program through 2-3 weekly wash cycles get the longest fabric life with these settings — same care as competitive sublimated practice gear.

The performance polyester mesh is significantly more breathable than cotton and dries roughly 4-5x faster after sweating through. It feels lighter and slicker than cotton — closer to a running shirt than a lifestyle tee. Cotton holds moisture and gets heavy and clammy through a long practice; the mesh polyester pulls sweat away from the skin and lets it evaporate from the surface. For basketball specifically (gym sessions, conditioning runs, indoor practice), the mesh polyester is what teams actually wear. Some players prefer cotton off-court for casual wear, but for actual practice gear our customers consistently report the polyester is the better practice fabric.
